Labor will legislate to protect this iconic and historic region – promoting jobs by protecting the natural beauty of the Ranges and preserving its environmental and rural values."   UPDATE (24/11/14): Statement of Planning Policy No 8 will be the basis of legislation to protect Macedon Ranges.
