MRRA Says:

The State government says it "is committed to the financial sustainability of councils, and wants to ensure local government rates are fair and equitable for all of the community".   All good, but in the interests of being 'fair' and 'equitable' all round, how about giving communities more control over what Councils spend money on, and setting some serious requirements for more transparency and accountability about the spending of it?

Caution with the online survey.  Question 8 is a tricky one - hmm... should all properties pay an equal dollar amount or should rates be based on their value?
