Malmsbury Village Fayre 2010

Friends

You are all invited to the Malmsbury Village Fayre. Local producers and wine makers.

The weather is promising to be perfect and the beautiful botanic gardens are beckoning you to come along, enjoy the free tastings of food and wine, buy up for Christmas and relax listening to live music under a shady tree. What more could anyone want?

It is on this coming Sunday, 21 November, 2010 10 am to 4 pm in the town hall and gardens in the centre of Malmsbury on Mollison St, close to the Coliban River bridge and shops.

The train station is a short walk away (4 minutes) so 'training it' is a great option.

Entertainment includes jumping castle for small children, playground, open spaces and Judith Lanigan (busking), a trained circus performer who specializes in hula hoops. She has even written a book about the health benefits of them as well as their history. One of her routines is to twirl 30 hula hoops whilst singing the national anthem whilst standing on her hands (or was that one hand?). If your child has a hula hoop bring it along so they can join in. Judith will also have some spare hoops..

Live music: Dave Austin McDonald (Blues), the Banana men and Nick Lyon on violin and anything else.

Also Andy Rigby is back by popular demand with his marimbas which are his own design and look like giant xylophones. Anyone can have a go and play.  Andy will give workshops and instant musicians and great music assured. It's lots of fun.

Bring your own picnic but you will also like the hot food on offer which will be: Taste of the Orient - making pork dumplings (using free range pork and other local ingredients) and other delicious Asian fare, home cooked pizzas, pies, pasties and sausage rolls, sausage in bread and other barbecue delights.

There will also be regional platters prepared by Sue for a reasonable price at the rear of the town hall in the supper room - delicious platter of olives, cheese, chutneys, bread etc most of which will be available at the Fayre.

There is a cafe, bakery, pub and general store in the town who provide meals as well. If you have time and energy visit the local art studios and exhibitions.

So relax, bring your friends and family and come to the Fayre.
