Who's Paying Who?

(21/7/06 - O)  Two fascinating websites let you look at who is donating to political parties.  Some of them (donors and donations) might surprise you.

A website run by the NSW branch of the Greens www.democracy4sale.org lists donations given to Federal and NSW branches of all political parties.  MRRA found the democracy4sale site when googling Tiffany Developments (the proponents of the recently-approved retirement village in Woodend).  That company is shown as having donated a fair sum to the NSW Labor Party in 2003/04 and 2004/05. 

Another website worth visiting is www.crickey.com which also has a large donations' database, including original candidates' returns sent to the Australian Electoral Commission.
