Lancefield Show Sunday 18th October 09
The Lancefield Show is On! This is a great family day out – the focus of the show is on presenting the best of local agriculture as well as entertainment, food and culture.
Mt William Wurundjeri Stone Axe Quarry Tours
At the Lancefield Show there will be bus tours up to the Mt William Wurundjeri Stone Axe Quarry available to visitors of the show.
The Wurundjeri Stone Axe Quarry is of National Cultural and Archaeological Significance, and is recorded on the National Heritage List.
The tours will be guided by Annette Xiberras who is a Wurundjeri Traditional owner of Mt William and the Macedon Ranges Shire region.
In addition to the significance of the site to the Wurundjeri, the views are spectacular and the site is located in high quality native vegetation with an abundance of wildflowers.
There will be three tours on the day – leaving the show 9.30am, 11.30am, and 1.30pm. Each tour goes for 1.5-2hrs including travel time.
Wurundjeri Stone Axe Quarry Tickets are:
$15 per Adult,
$10 Adult Concession
$5 per child, children <5yrs Free.
Please Note - Prices do not include entry to the Show. Tickets can be booked in advance of the show if you are interested in attending.
