Macedon and Mount Macedon Landcare Group invite you to a Sunday drive with a difference:

"PLANT COMMUNITIES OF THE MACEDON RANGES:

AN INTRODUCTION"

with Marty Roberts

17 June, 2007

Starts 1 pm at the corner of Shannons Rd and Barringo Rd; then drive to the Camel's Hump and finishing at the Macedon Regional Park (corner of Nursery Rd and Black Forest Drive) at 5 pm.

At these 3 sites you will learn about:

The Plant community diversity of The Macedon Ranges
Ecological Vegetation Classes (EVC's) - what are they and how can they be used?
Connectivity of landscape, what does it mean and why is it important?

Some useful notes will be supplied on the day.

Marty Roberts is a professional Bushland Regenerator with a detailed knowledge of the Macedon environment. He is a great communicator who has a passion for the region.

Where:	Start – Cnr Shannons Road and Barringo Road, Barringo, (VicRoads Map Reference 60 B8)
When:	1.00 pm Sunday 17th June 2007
What to Bring:	- Sturdy shoes (a small amount of walking) - Thermos of tea/coffee - A keen eye - An open mind - And most importantly - some Arnott's to share
