Brisbane Ranges Wildflower Show, Sunday 9 October, Anakie - The FULL Day Out!

(23/9/11 - E)  Wildflower displays, native plant and book sales, workshops on macro photography and orchid identification, information on pest plants and animals, and native wildlife, guided bus tours - IT HAS THE LOT!

 

The Friends of Brisbane Ranges are hosting the Brisbane Ranges Wildflower Show, Sunday 9th October, 9.30-4.30pm, Anakie Staughton Vale Hall, Anakie. (Gold coin donation).

 

Some 629 native plant species can be found in the ranges with over 100 terrestrial orchid species identified.

The Friends of Brisbane Ranges are hosting the Brisbane Ranges Wildflower Show Sunday 11th October; Anakie Staughton Vale Hall; 9.30-5pm. (Gold coin donation.)

There will be displays, free workshops on macro photography, basic plant identification and guided bus tours, run both morning and afternoon.

The show includes an extensive display of wildflowers, plant sales, various environmental stalls with information on pest plants and animals, native seeds collection, attracting native wildlife.

The guided Bus tour - $5 – please register by contacting Parks Victoria Bacchus Marsh Office (Judith Locke or Peter Box) on 5366 0000. No EFTPOS. Disabled parking and access.

Terrick Terrick Field Day - Victorian Wildflower Spectacular  23rd September

(22/8/07 - E)  Be prepared to be so very pleasantly surprised at what's in your own backyard.

You've all seen the brochures promoting Western Australia's wildflowers so now here's your chance to witness the even more spectacular Victorian equivalent. No need to spend thousands of dollars on airfares and fancy accommodation. Bring a chair, a camera and a picnic and be prepared to be pleasantly surprised at what's in your own backyard.
