Landlink has been given a makeover and Landcare Australia has re-freshed
the brand. We are pleased to reveal the new look for our landcare,
Coastcare and Junior Landcare programs. As you can see, we have
retained the iconic "caring hands", but have revitalised it with
a cleaner and more modern font! We are also offering Landcare and Coastcare groups a custom-made logo kit with your group name. PLUS if you have group members that do not currently receive Landlink please forward this e-newsletter to them to keep them informed about what is happening in the landcare network. |

Mobile Muster and Landcare Australia are inviting everyone to get
behind this year's Old Phones More Trees campaign, by recycling
their old mobile phones, batteries, chargers and accessories with
MobileMuster between 1st May and 5th June, World Environment Day.
A tree will be planted by Landcare Australia for every kilogram of old mobiles collected. Trees will be planted in the rainforests of far north Queensland, the river red gum forests and wetlands along the River Murray in NSW, Victoria and SA, and the Mallee in WA to restore precious wildlife habitats and to stem the tide of dryland salinity. Each of these regions are crucial to maintaining Australia's biodiversity and feeding our growing population. Since the program started in June 2007 more than 200,000 trees have been planted and over 90 tonnes of mobile phones, batteries, chargers and accessories diverted from landfill and recycled. Every mobile counts – thank you for recycling your old mobiles to help Landcare Australia plant more trees and to celebrate World Environment Day. |
