NATURAL ENVIRONMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE

 

Call for Nominations (3 vacancies) by 29th June, 2007

 

Macedon Ranges Shire Council is seeking expressions of interest from persons wishing to serve on its Natural Environment Advisory Committee (NEAC).

 

The purpose and role of the committee is to provide high level strategic advice to the Council on the implementation of the Natural Environment Strategy and the development of a sustainable natural environment for Macedon Ranges Shire.  The committee will provide a conduit between Council and its community on a range of environmental issues.

 

The current committee was established in July 2006. The committee charter provides for up to eight community members and three vacancies exist. 

 

Applications are encouraged from members of the Macedon Ranges community who have strong skills and experience or interest in environmental management issues.  In addition to eight community members the NEAC includes two Councillors and two Council Officers.
